This year’s Moto Idea in many aspects will be unique in its entire, several-year history.
The most important message of this year’s event was changes related to the global transformation of mobility and megatrends in the automotive industry. Other hot topics were discussed as well i.e. related to the increase in the prices of raw materials and transport, problems with logistics, or restrictions in the supply of components. More than 30 speakers and panelists talked not only about the future of the automotive industry in the coming years, but for the first time they referred to the changes that are happening before our eyes.
"Silicon Valley is a place where the future is happening today"
- Mario Herger
The discussion on how to prepare the automotive industry in Poland for changes in the automotive industry took place in a panel moderated by Paweł Wideł, director of relations with the government at Stellantis. Dr. Ewa Łabno Falęcka from Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland, digital transformation advisor Tomasz Klekowski, Jarosław Kurosz from Volkswagen Września, and Bartek Swatko from Deloitte shared their perspective.
The next panel was set by independent automotive expert Grzegorz Banakiewicz. The discussion on the post-pandemic recovery of the automotive sector was preceded by lectures by Andrzej Marcinek from Gedia, Mateusz Amroziński from Fanuc, and Mariusz Deląg, development planning and strategy manager from Opel Manufacturing Poland. The third block dealt with issues closest to the organizer of the Conference, Exact Systems. It is not surprising, therefore, that the panel was moderated by the president of the company’s management board, Paweł Gos, and the panelists included the head of the engineering department at Exact Systems, Jakub Cieśla. The automotive industry was represented by Paweł Boczarski from Saint-Gobain Sekurit and Grzegorz Bławacki from Toyota Manufacturing Poland. The non-automotive representatives included Łukasz Topoliński from Hustro|Topolinski Consulting and Kamil Sałata from PayComplete.
